Reflection
As I was pondering of how quantitive reasoning will make my future more interesting and understandable. I came up with three topics that I felt will cover this question. The first topic is different voting methods. Second, computer science in becoming a web developer. Third, how to manage my finance when I have my own family.
By learning about the different voting methods, I now have a better idea how a candidate will win an election. In order for a candidate to win, they must receive the majority votes. Although, there can be multiple ways to calculate each vote. Example, in the Copeland's method, if there are four candidates. Each will go head to head with one another and the candidate that receives the majority votes will receive a point. If, both candidates receive the same number of votes each will receive half a point. After each candidate goes head to head with one another, the candidate with the most points is declared as the winner.
In my classes of computer science, I have realized they do a great amount of problem-solving in order for the program to work. There are steps I have learned in order to get the results I want. Step 1) understanding the problem. 2) design a solution 3) implement your solution 4) check your solution. These steps remind me when we covered problem-solving. We had to know in a story problem what they were looking for. Once, we understood the problem, we would go through it and at the end, we would check out our results to see if it is correct.
The last topic is something that I am interested to learn more about. Although, we had not covered finance so far. I can't wait to see what we will go over. This will help me in order to help and provide for my future family. To look for ways where I control the money. So, the money does not control me and be more responsible with my finance.
